~Juliet Yvein Vimir~ Mother... looking at me, tell me what do you see? ...Yes, I've lost my mind... Daddy... looking at me-- will I ever be free? ...Have I crossed the line...___________________________________________ Juliet sipped the water and began eating away at her soup. Of course she was baing lady-like since she WAS a lady weather she looked like a child or not. She smiled when she realized it tasted exactly the same as her mothers. Come to think of it... this place, this hotel... it reminded her of home. Juliet frowned and set her spoon back down. Had Mirian known Juliet's mother? It sure seemed that way because she resembled Juliet's mother almost to a fault.
Juliet blushed as time passed and she finished her soup. Her head was actually hurting now. Absently, she pressed a hand to her forehead and closed her eyes. She was sleepy. The look on her face resembled that of a sleeping baby already. However, her pale face what literally ghostly white, her cheeks and nose slightly red but not from blushing. Even the violet clouds across her closed eyelips seemed a bit more brighter than they SHOULD have been. Juliet breathed heavily and stood up, swaying slightly as she did. Was she sick? Though now that she was standing, and the way her hand was placed on her forehead, there was a small red dot on her wrist, hidden in the network of silver runes tattooed across her wrists. The dot was blood... like someone had stabbed her with a needle. Juliet tried to walk away from the table but she ended up holding herself up on the edge of it, gripping the table tightly. She blinked and wondered why she felt dizzy, what had happened? Juliet about the sharp pain in her wrist she felt when she was fighting the demons she was running from-- before she met El. Had they drugged her? Shot her with a sleeping drug so she'd passout somewhere and they'd have an advantage to take her to Fal?

The rest of the meal was taken in silence, something that, for once since meeting her, seemed normal for him, not that he enjoyed the quiet. Hearing others’ voices was always pleasurable to him, if those voices were soft and light. Calm or happy. How was he able to miss someone’s voice after only a few minutes of silence? He had finished a little before Juliet and contented himself with watching her from over the brim of his wine glass.
Then he noticed a strangeness about her. When she put her hand against her forehead, he grew worried. Was it only a headache, or was it something else entirely? She appeared paler than he remembered her being earlier, if that was possible. Compared to his skin, she might look as white as paper now. He stood when she did, setting the glass back down on the table. Maybe it was the wine. No, she had only had a sip, and there was nothing harmful in it that he had been able to tell.
This was not good. Not now.
Within seconds, he was at her side, bending down to wrap at arm around her small waist for support, scared she would fall down. He looked at her with a worried eye, and for some reason it was now that he noticed the dress she wore. Small thing indeed, but he was straying from the important thing. What was wrong with her?

~Juliet Yvein Vimir~ Mother... looking at me, tell me what do you see? ...Yes, I've lost my mind... Daddy... looking at me-- will I ever be free? ...Have I crossed the line...___________________________________________ Juliet flinched when El came to her side, almsot fearful that it was someone that would hurt her. She blinked confused and looked up at El, her once bright blue eyes looking pale as well. Their color was no longer glowing like a star, but seemed dull and dead. "E--El...?" she questioned, seeming very confused. Not because she didn't realize it was him holding her up but because she was confused as to what was happening to her. She shook her head, the dizziness subsiding for the time being. She tried to smile, to show El she was alright but she still looked sick. If possibly her fragile body looked like one touch would make her shatter into a million pieces. "I'm.... fine..." she whispered, still attempting to make him believe you. She pushed away from his grasp, knowing by now that El wasn't a "physical contact" type of person. She smiled shyly and suddenly stumbled off balance and falling backward. Her wings sprouted from her back to her suprise and fluttered fiercly as if showing how scared she was. They kept her standing, Juliet looked down in embrassment. What was happening to her? Juliet shook her head and turned her back to El, "M--Maybe I should... Lay down?" she asked, more to herself than to El. Her voice sounded like she was tired... but also weak like she was wounded. Without another word, Juliet took a few steps away from El and to the door-- stumbling again.

He was hesitant about letting go of her, no matter if she thought she was fine or not. Thinking it so would not make it so. There was something wrong, and he would not let her hurt herself by being foolish, not after he had chosen to help her. Instead of backing away from the girl completely, he merely stood to his full height, staying near in case he was indeed needed, and he suspected he would be. She had the stubbornness of a human and all the innocence of her youth! It hurt him to see the bright shine in her eyes vanish, leaving behind a dullness that made his throat throb.
Touching her then, when he was holding on to her, old memories had come rushing back to the forefront. She reminded him of the red-headed girl, the child, an image of innocence. Why did that girl’s image keep appearing in his mind? He blinked when Juliet’s wings burst forth, and he took a step back to avoid contact with them. They were symbols. His back burned with the desire to break, to release the tension building which kept his wings, his identity, a secret. Even with her, he had secrets. Understandable, but he did not have to let her be taken against her will.
You do not even know where to go, he thought, and before he knew it, he was holding her in his arms again. The stumbling would not do, not for him. He picked her up, left arm supporting her back – while being as careful as possible with the wings – and the other gripping beneath her knees. Holding her here in this way, watching as she seemed to fade, it made his heart race with fury. Someone was willing to hurt such a creature.
He looked down at her face, eye to eye so to speak, and his gaze coupled with the firm grip he held her with said he would not allow her to escape his grasp. If only for tonight, he would make sure she was safe. No one would be getting near her, and he would stay up all night to be sure of it.
Finding the door cracked, he used his foot to open it. Mirian would have the room cleaned, so he needn’t worry about the dishes and unfinished drinks. Perhaps she still gave him the same room, and if she had honored his request, the second would be available for Juliet. But, to be safe, he was not quite sure he wanted her in another room.
Without allowing his charge to speak protest, he began walking down the hall, all the while listening for others. No, they would be sleeping. Should be sleeping. There it was. He pushed open the door to his room and stepped inside, taking in the smell of incense. The sly woman knew him too well. He adored this incense. Probably not a good thing she knew so much about him, but little could be done about it that did not require some violent act.
Gently, and watching the wings, he set her down on the bed, and this time, his hands did not jerk away. They did not even quiver, but then, that could simply be because he was getting himself under control. The pain in his chest became sharper, and he put a hand against his heart as he turned away from the girl, walking to the fireplace. He put his other hand on the mantle and leaned into it. Closing his eye, he tried to let the moment pass.

~Juliet Yvein Vimir~ Mother... looking at me, tell me what do you see? ...Yes, I've lost my mind... Daddy... looking at me-- will I ever be free? ...Have I crossed the line...___________________________________________ Juliet felt weightless all of a sudden, her head throbbing from the sudden wooshing in her mind. She blinked and looked up at El, blushing with her eyes looking dazed, "N--No..." she whispered, "I'm... no..." she muttered. Her personality at the moment seemed very close to drunk... like a drunk ready to pass out. She was tired, her head was hurting, and her heartbeat was extreamly loud in her ears. And in the back of her mind she was fine, like she was looking at herself acting this way. What's.... happening? she asked herself. She felt like she forgot everything. Her eyes wandered the table as she somewhat rested limp in El arms. She seemed confused, like she didn't realize they had dinner together.
Then motion started to overwhelm her again-- they were moving. Juliet glanced forward, her body cradled in El's arms except for one arm just handing off the side limply. Her wings even drooped down in a manner of weakness. Her eyes only opened slightly when El pushed the door open and they were going down the hallway. Juliet felt scared, her vision was swimming as if she WAS drunk, everything sounded louder than they should have been-- El's foorsteps, her heavy breathing. "Where...?" she wanted to ask, but her mind throbbed again, "Where are you taking me...?" she wondered, her eyes very weakly wandering around the walls and to El's face. She wasn't sure why-- but she wanted to hit him. Make him let her go so she could run away. Run away like all her life since she was 5. For some reason she was forgetting everything-- where she was, what she did, even who El was for a short amount of time. With this drugged feeling she felt like El was the one that was going to hurt her.
Juliet only closed her eyes for a moment before she felt soft sheets under her. She glanced at her hand to the side, absently wondering why it looked so dead. Juliet closed her eyes and breathed heavily to the throbbing. Sleep... whispered a voice in her head. Juliet panted and glanced at El, wondering if he had said that to her. She moved her body slightly, slidding it along the sheets only to limply fall into the same position. She didn't feel safe. Sleep... the voice whispered again. Juliet felt like she knew it, Sleep.... it sounded like it was echoing, "D--Daddy...?" Juliet whispered, realizing the voice belonged to her father. El walked away from her, turning his back. Juliet blushed and her eyelids became heavy, "El..." she whispered before everything went black.

An alarm sounded in his head when he heard her whispering. Father. Her father. No, a tormentor. No real father would treat his daughter this way. Elioenai turned around, hands falling to his sides. This was no time to worry about himself. He could bear the pain as he had always done. Then she whispered his name, and he witnessed her eyes close as she drifted off. Worried that whatever had induced this sleep might have terrible effects, he swiftly carried himself across the room toward her.
She almost looks as if she is made of porcelain. He pulled a blanket up over her. Perhaps all the trauma of running and evading the demons was taking its toll, but he could never know for sure. He had made up his mind, that he would be gone by morning, leaving only the early dawn’s light creeping through the window to greet the girl. There was little more he could do here tonight, except to watch her, to be sure no one had really been following the entire time. She would be safe here, at least, but tomorrow, when she stepped out of the building, she would be back to where she began, as if he never existed.
That was how it always was. People forgot.
He reached up to touch her face, and his dark skin lightened to a point where it gleamed nearly white. Now he was paler, and it made him feel more secure about her situation. Pale, graceful fingers caressed a cheek gently. You will not know me. He would be only a memory.
Darkness shrouded the room as his wings slowly appeared, so large that they seemed to press against the walls in hopes of pressing through, wishing to spread out. Black feathers, soft as fleecy velvet, and a structure that always made them look more regally dark than he believed they were. They melded with the shadows in their blackness, tainted. Only his skin appeared to light the place where he stood staring down at the angel on the bed. Beautiful.
The night flew by for him, and the few hours before dawn seemed to pass like minutes.
He rose to leave the room, now warm from the fire lit earlier in the night. He took one last look at Juliet, worry still glazing his dark eye. Watching her lie there in her sleep had been scary. She really did take to him as any charge of his might, and he took to her in the same way. But, putting the thoughts of her out of his mind, the look in his eye suddenly changed to a dark indifference, and he quitted the room without so much as a sound.
After his cloaking, no one would look for her here. They may very well follow his taint, which he made clear now. Demons would be drawn to him, as so many had been before.
Be careful. He ignored his feelings, mind silent, but at last, he added, Forget me.

~Juliet Yvein Vimir~ Mother... looking at me, tell me what do you see? ...Yes, I've lost my mind... Daddy... looking at me-- will I ever be free? ...Have I crossed the line...___________________________________________ "Juliet...." whispered a quiet voice, "Juliet...?" The voice was soft and gentle, Just smiled in her sleep, Safe... you feel safe... who are you? "Juliet... sweetie wake up." I'm awake... "No Juliet-- wake up. It's time to get up, sweetie...."
Juliet opened her eyes, finding herself in a familar room-- Her room! Her body shot up, suddenly flinching in pain. Juliet gasped and held a hand to her chest. This pain-- what was this? Her bright blue eyes glanced around the room... everything was the same. The same child-ish drawings she drew when she was only a baby... wait-- how did she get back to heaven? Juliet slung her feet off the side of the bed and flinched again. "Hey! Jules don't do that!" cried a male voice. Juliet blinked and looked over to her bedroom door, Alex!? "Alex!?" The boy at the door quickly moved to her bed and pushed her back to lay down. Juliet gasped and stared at her brother in disbelief, "Alex!? Oh Alex you're ali--" "Jules, wake up!" Alex yelled at her. "What?[/]" she felt confused. Alex was alive? She was in her room? Where was El? "Juliet your drugged-- you have to leave!" Alex yelled at her. "Leave...? But-- El--!" "Forget about him, you have to leave! They're comming to get you!" Alex's voice changed suddenly and his brown hair turned black-- his blue eyes suddenly green, "Now!" he smirked suddenly and his whole apperance changed. He-- He looked like Fal!
Juliet screamed herself awake, her heart pounding aganist her chest. Where was she!? Juliet's eyes bounced around the room, her vision slightly blurred from the long sleep. "El!?" she called, looked around. He wasn't there. Juliet blinked and rubbed her eyes, feeling sick, "E--El!?" she forced herself out of bed and stumbled to the floor because of how the blanket was wrapped around her. Juliet gasped as she hit the floor, noticing a reddish dot on her wrist... like she was stabbed with a needle... "Juliet your drugged-- you have to leave!" she remembered Alex yelling at her. Juliet pushed herself up and suddenly felt like throwing up-- it hurt... tears started to flow down her cheeks, "El!? Where are you!?" she cried, feeling scared. She didn't understand what was happening-- where was El!?
She pushed herself up onto a standing position and opened the door to the room, looking down the hall. That housekeeper from earlier was walking down the hall. Juliet ran to her, "Mirian-- have you seen El?" she asked. The woman looked confused, "He left hours ago, love." she said and stepped around Juliet and down the hall. Juliet felt her heart stop, "Left...?" she hugged her small body-- actually trembling, "El...?" Her heart felt like it was stopping-- he left? How could he leave? Juliet held a hand to her head feeling sicker than ever. She couldn't process it-- He left... he left.. that's all that was running through her head.
