Today...
Today was the day that I finally left my hiding place..
I had hibernated here for nearly 10 years, I slept a very long time.
I walked out onto the streets and looked around, darkness, despair, death. all these things thrived here...
"Where... where am I?" I whispered...
"Some one help me..."[/i]
The streets where dark, demons ever where didn't seem to notice me..
I tried to spread my wings, but I forgot that I was cursed by the demons that killed my parents...
Won't some one help me? I thought.

Yuki stumbled along the dark roads, looking for anyone else who might show a pair of wings that were not there.
'Could angels really be coming back to this hell?" She wondered to herself.
Asmall blue light throbbed next to her shoe, she looked down to see a small pair of wings.
"Ah... so there's more then just that one!" Yuki waited for the wings to move, and ran after them when they finally did. She had been running for about two minutes and since she was watching the ground had no idea where she was going, so it was only natural she ran smack into someone.
"Ow... ah! Sorry!" She got off of who ever it was and held her hand out to help them up, then looked around for the wings but couldnt find where they had gone.

(lol, i'm going to assume that you ran into me  ) I stumbled backwards as some one ran right into me, I was suddenly very afraid and curled up into a ball and began to cry. "G-go away scary monster!"[/i] I really had no idea what hit me, but I assumed it was going to eat me up! Please don't eat me! Please don't eat me! I repeated in my head. |

Yuki stared at the girl.
"I'm not going to hurt you." She said kindly and knelt down next to the girl with wings potruding from her back faintly.
"You're one of them, arent you..." She reached out and gently un-curled the girl's hand and helped her up.
"Okay, dude, take a look at me." Yuki stepped back and held her arms out to the side.
She turned around slowly so the girl could see her skin-and-bone body structure.
"Okay see? I cant possible hurt you." She put her hands back in her pockets and smiled.
"I'm Yuki, what's your name?"

(also, my wings are stuck in, because of a curse lol.)
I stood, still shaken, but calmed down a bit.
" I.. I'm Vespa, Vespa Sphinx.."[/i] I said, quietly.
I look up to Yuki and looked at her eyes, but i quickly darted my vision.
She seemed nice, and her hands felt warm and kind.
I started to warm up to her quickly, hoping she wouldn't harm me. It was still a looming fear for me.

(Yuki is phsychic, she sees and hears spirits, also she sees angel wings on angels and people protected by the angels, weather they're really out or not xD sorry should've said that earlier)
She smiled.
"Well Vespa, what brings you to this lovely little hell hole?" Yuki looked over Vespa.
She looked about her age, maybe even a bit younger.
"Are you here all alone? You better be c`areful, as I'm sure you can see there's LOADS of demons hangin' around." She kicked a peble next to her foot, which shot off and hit the back of a demon's head.
"Whoops." the demon scratched his head as if nothing strange had happened.
Yuki coughed as the wind started to blow and the faul stench of demon filled her nose.

(ah, makes much more sense now lol, okay then  ) I rubbed my arm, and stared down shyly. "Believe it or not, I was hiding in there for about 10 years... I was in a magical sleep.[/i] I pointed to a small hole, that lead to small room inside. "I finally awoke today...[/i] I stretched, and yawned. I flinched when i saw her kick the pebble at the Demon, but was very confused when i saw him just shrug it off... "How did you do that..?"[/i] I asked curiously. Did she have some kind of mind powers to control them? My mind fluttered the possibilities of having a power like that! i raised my hands and started to clap a little bit then dropped them cutely. I only noticed now that the demons didn't even notice us... |

"Do what? The pebble? I kick so lightly that they dont really feel it."
Yuki watched Vespa, intruiged.
"So... kind of a shock to wake up and find his, eh?"

(lol no worries, i know the feeling, sometimes a short post is all you need though!  ) A shock was a understatement, it was like waking up in hell, but far worse, I had never seen such a place before! "Yeah, a shock is right![/i] I said, with a faint smile. "But at least i didn't I didn't wake up to get killed.[/i] I was really lucky to find some one like Yuki, instead of a big, smelly demon. Yuki looked nice to me, she had long, long red hair, pretty green-blue eyes. I wandered off, examining the eyes, and playing with the pieces of yarn in my hair, and completely dazed off. It felt like looking at the ocean, or water of any kind. I eventually lost my train of thought and started to think of the fun i would have playing with the little light orbs i did a long time ago. I cupped my hands and a small star formed in them, and it floated around me, then i let it grow to a small red supernova and explode, leaving a tiny, tiny nebula that faded away... heads turned as the band echoed. I looked around at the faces that now stared at me curiously... uh oh.. I thought, as they began to walk towards us. |

Yuki watched in wonder as Vespa created... how would it be descibed?
I dunno but it was really cool looking. (pure genius there..)
"How did you-?" she stopped herself and a group of demons and humans turned their gaze and started walking towards them.
"Ah crap!"
Fight or run, fight or run? Yuki thought.
She grabbed a switch blade from her pocket and held it tightly in case they had to fight.
She eyed Vespa for a minute,she didnt know if she would be as fast as herself or if she wanted to fight them off, judging by her expression she didnt think Vespa wanted to fight.
"Vespa, wanna run or fight?"

Fight or run?!? My mind screamed run, but my legs wouldn't move.
There was no chance in hell that I could even begin to fight someone! I lacked all skills, i didn't even have a weapon! And my magic, though flashy, was weak.
Just then I had an idea, i turned to Yuki and looked her in the eyes... my eyes where glowing bright white as i charged up my powers.
"get ready to run!"[/i] I said.
I raised my hands, and the air started to lift and swirl around me, suddenly a massive star like orb appeared above me.
The heat radiated off of it, and made me start sweating, it was intensly bright. Suddenly i released it in a huge explosion that didn't harm me, or Yuki.
I darted off in the direction of Yuki, and grabbed her wrist, and I felt her start running too.
The enemies had to have been stunned if not blinded, and if not BURNT from the heat!
My ears rang from the explosion, and I couldn't hear much.

She watches in awe then turned and bolted when Vespa grabbed her wrist.
She let Vespa lead and noticed she was swearting.
I wonder if she's okay... that's gotta take a lot of strength...
She motioned for Vespa to turn into an ally close up and went off into the darkest corner.
"Stay quiet." she whispered and opened the lid to a dumpster and motioned for Vespa to get in, then climbed in as well and shut the lid.
"They went straight, I think." someone shouted and footbeats rang out and slowly got softer.
"So you are one of them." Yuki turned to Vespa.
"Are you okay? taht must've taken a lot outta you."

What did she mean one of them?
was I like something else in this hellish wonderland? And if so, i pitied them... who wants to be like me in this kind of place?
It started to smell really bad in the dumpster, and I crawled out.
The coast seemed clear, cause Yuki didn't pull me back in, and i flopped back down on the ground, sitting cross legged.
I was exhausted from that last supernova...
I didn't remember any one else having powers like me, even before i slept a long time.. could there be some one like me with the same powers? I gasped, what if it was ME and I wasn't sleeping?!
Then i remembered, i could still see in a way what was going on even when i was asleep, and i stayed put the whole time, so that wasn't it..
maybe I was over thinking this.
"Are there others just like me?[/i] I asked curiously.

Yuki crawled out after her and kneeled next to her.
"Like you? It depends if you're some kinda god demon, then nah not many of you. Angel? Even rare-er. You're the second angel ive ever met."
She siged and stared at the sky.
"asleep for ten years... in that time... this land fell prey to demons."
She started tugging her own hair.
"Little children lost their parents constantly... people die here all the time and that king just lets it happen... the angels fled.... and people who go against the demons are killed..."
She remanised in her own sad memories for a moment.
"Exactally how old are you, Vespa?"

I had to think about that for a second. I asked Yuki what the date was.
"... Well in that case... I'm 15, and... 4 months."[/i] I said, still thinking about it.
Last time I was awake I was 6 years old and 4 months...
I really hadn't aged all that much, just my vocabulary really...
"My parents where killed too, before i fell asleep... and the demons that killed them cursed me, i cant advance in magic skills, or use my wings... I'm basically helpless..."[/i] I frowned... sadness filled me as I thought of my lost parents, though it was nearly 10 years ago, it felt like just yesterday...
I started to cry as i wrapped my arms around Yuki.
